Another day another blog update.

Woohoo to me cause I am blogging again and so soon after the last one....what's wrong with me...lol! Nothing actually and so I thought it time for another post. Kids are at school, Tim is at uni for the day and it is so nice and quiet here all by little lonesome self...anyone jealous yet?!
That's ok you'll get there one day too just like me although it seems to take forever. Sent Lance off on the yr 7 camp down at Creswick yesterday morning as a mentor and leader to the yr 7's and I am so hoping he is having a great time. It is only an overnighter so pick him up from school about 3:30pm this arvo. Apparently the group that came back yesterday arvo (not Lance's) came back early which I happened to notice when I picked up Stephanie from school because a large number of the kids played up quite badly and therefore the whole group missed out on Macca's on the way home. You know kids these days (well so many of them) are so unruly and think they can do whatever they like and what a mess so many of them are creating within their own lives and those of others. Sad story really. Anyway Stephanie and her group went off this morning and I hope she is ok there....not that she wouldn't enjoy herself or anything like that but the fact that last night she went to bed with a bit of a tummy upset....seems to be going round whatever it is but then this morning she was bright and happy so I just hope it stays that way for her.

Yes and yay for me cause I finished my very first collection last night, zipped all the kits and am just this very minute uploading them all to the shop over at Pickleberrypop. Six kits in all and you can purchase the whole collection and save! Yep save! But they are not in the shop just yet and when they are I'll pop a link to it so you can check it out but for now I will give you a squizzy.

Well that's it from me short and sweet and remember to check in once in awhile and and hey don't forget if you haven't already then subscribe to my blog....just scroll down on the right and you''ll see Feedblitz, pop your email in and away you go and thankyou to those that have already done so.

Enjoy your day, take care, pop a smile on your dial and share it round. :) :)

Subscribe to my blog....simple as!

Yep there is a simple solution for catching up with updates to my blog and that is by subscribing to it and when I update you get to know first up. Scroll all the way down and on the right you can pop your email addy in and subscribe to my blog via Feedblitz. Simple....told you it would be.
Ok so I am still a little slacker then I want to be with blog updates. I was hoping that I could try for an almost daily update but at the moment there is so much happening in my own personal family life that it is difficult to keep up with anything I would like to do.
So what's new.....well I have another new kit as part of my Keep it Simple Collection finished. Hopefully all kits will be in the shop within the next week. All papers have been created but I still have 3 kits that need elements and of course previews for each but here is a little sneak peek of Wild Grape Forest.

I love this one myself...lol and can't wait to scrap with any of them!

Next topic.....

Well the weekend was incredibly busy and as usual it came and went. Tim started uni (3rd yr of his degree) today so I am at home all by myself catching up on housework, Pickleberrypop, blogging, and of course designing. What a busy Monday already and in fact it will be a very busy week ahead. Lance goes on a yr 7 overnight camp tomorrow as a yr 10 mentor and I think he will really have heaps of fun. Only a few select kids have the opportunity to be a mentor and a leader in Yr 10 and he is one of them so I am very proud of him.

Well I had best leave blogging for now and hang the washing out and get stuck into this designing stuff so ciao for now....oh and don't forget to go on and subscribe!

Trials and Tribulations.

Unusual start to my post I know yet there are times in our life that really are full of difficult moments.

Take last Friday night for example when my 15 year old son Lance was attacked by a youth quite visciously. Something you hear about in the paper or on the news when it happens to other families and your heart goes out to them but when it becomes your family....your son, then everything changes for a time.

I did write about this over at Pickleberrypop which you can view the whole story here but just to make short of an epic.....Lance and his younger brother Maddison and Lance's friend Emma (14) and her younger sis Billy Jo (10) were walking home from playing basketball from the P.S close by and on the other side of the road there were about 20/30 people both adults and kids many of them under age and drinking, partying. One kid decided to walk across the road and attack Lance by belting into him repeatedly with the other 2 kids yelling and screaming and not being able to do anything. Thankfully Lance had on his helmet which bore the brunt of most of the full on punches and he was left with some bruising, a few lumps, swollen ear and sore arm.
None of the adults across the road did anything to stop it but in fact "egged" it on and laughed and the same with the other kids. Took one driver and his wife of a blue Ford Territory to be driving by and hearing Lance's yells for help that this wonderful samaritan did a u-turn and came back to break it up.
We have been in numb mode with it all as you would imagine but each passing day is a little better and Lance is doing fine as well. He still carries one bruise and a couple of rather large nasty lumps behind his ear (left side) and on his cheek bone but we are so grateful that that is all. It could have been a whole lot nastier if that man and his wife had not stopped as at the same time another fellow was crossing the road to start attacking Lance as well but retreated as soon as the Ford stopped.
School was informed about it all on Monday and they have stepped right in for any help either Lance and Emma may need in the way of counseling etc etc. In actual fact I have to say that I am most impressed with the schools suppport and upon telling them how terribly shocked they were for the incident.
To cut a long story short we pressed charges and we're at the police station for about 1.5 hours on Friday night dealing with statements and all that. Now we wait for the police to do their part and take it from there.

On to the next topic. I have been in designer mojo heaven.....lol if there is a place. I have been designing my very first collection called Keep it Simple. Each kit will have 6 textured papers and some elements and you will be able to mix and match the kits as well. One kit is finished, preview and all and 2 others have all their papers done at this stage. Not sure how many kits will be apart of this collection yet but I guess I'll stop when the mojo runs out........lol
You wanna sneak peek..........well of course you do.

Welcome to Guava Island.

Some of the papers closer up

.........and that's all I'm showing....lol

I've completed another LO for Faer Oak......

Away.....deep in thought

Well I think that is all for now so till next blogging stay safe, count your blessings and be grateful for all you have because there is always someone out there in a much greater need than you or I.
BTW I just want to say a very BIG thankyou to the anonymous person (in case you read this) who did the kindest thing for me today. They know what they did and although I don't know who, I'm sending the hugest, most ginormous {{{HUGS}}} for making my day and popping a smile on my face and in my heart. It meant so much to me and I thank you deeply. :) :) :)

Phew life sure gets busy.

I cannot believe how quick this year is flying by and I cannot seem to keep up with all that I should, particularly in the way of blogging. I know I BAD!
School started back last week and this is the first full week for all of my kids and can you believe that Steps started high school this year *sigh* *cry* *sigh*......yep she sure did and she is loving it. So I have Lance in YR 10, Grace in YR 9, Stephanie in YR 7 and Maddison in YR 6 and the last of the Turnbull family to be in primary school. I mean where have the years gone. I think I blinked and missed them somehow. It is really pleasing to know Steps lis oving school and in fact all of them are but starting high school is a very big step and she is an old hand at it now.....lol (helps with older siblings being there).
We had the most wonderful priviledge of going to a wedding 2 weekends ago. Saturday the 27th of January, Jevon and Wendy were married. It was a beautiful and simple wedding in the Botanical Gardens in Warrnambool and then across to the RCI meeting hall for the reception which was lovely. Afternoon tea High Society way. Lots of yummy cakes, great coffee although I only had a hot chocci and soft drink for those that "needed" it. I have known Jevon since he was 5 and if memory serves me correct he turned 27 this year, although it could be 26. He married a lady in our church we all attend who had gone through a tragic marriage once already and has 3 little children to care for. We have seen these 2 fall in love and truly respect one another and Jevon has taken on those beautiful kids just like they are his own. It is wonderful to see. I wish them all the best and know that they will have a long and happy marriage. (Have photos just need to edit them before I pop them on).
I have been busy designing but I have to admit I am so uncertain about it all as I don't feel my stuff is good enough. I look at some of the most awesome designers and wish I could be like them (even just a little) and know that I am not nor will ever be. I do enjoy creating particularly papers as they are so much easier than elements and while on that subject....yep the element one, talk about WOW, they are getting more and more sophisticated all the time and I and my brain are on limits. Plus the fact I wouldn't have a clue how they create them. Always good for learning but woah sometimes it all moves to fast and I am so much better in the slow lane....lol

As for scrapbooking well nothing on the paper front and as much as I want to hang onto that it is slipping away more and more and digi is fast taking over the lot. Not so good when you have so much stuff but if I use it up in one form or another than perhaps I will then just make digi 100% and I would also have a little more room in the house. Interesting times are on MOI!
As for digi scrapping well heck yeh I have done a couple of LO's and here they are.
